Every new railroad starts with one station, a train, and a whole lot of fanfare. Unlike the D, N, & R Trains that transports passengers from nearby Manhattan through and around our beautiful global neighborhood, it is the U-Train that will bring us all together to crash through walls of hatred, misogyny, and bigotry. "The Sunset Park Railroad" is an ongoing community building project presented by Mena Mountain Productions.

MISSION:

The Sunset Park Railroad is a continuing multi arts/educational community-building project, a movement that will provide the images that are sorely missing from mainstream media of good people from around the world coming together for the benefit of everyone.  In collaborations with houses of worship (churches, mosques, temples),  senior centers, and community-based organizations to deliver the arts and sciences while making a massive collection of memories that will be enjoyed for generatons to come. Consider being being of one of our advertizers and associate yourself with wholsome and original programing that is all about inclusion! ALL ABOARD!

The Sunset Park Railroad aims to unite all of our partners working daily to reach solutions to the problems that typically afflict poor and working class immigrant communities.  These impacts include a shortage of affordable housing that leaves little hope for residents wishing to age in place, overcrowded schools with inadequate resources, police discourse that is of concern to all, high unemployment, health disparities, and racial tensions that lye beneath the surface.  It will lead to a transformative experience for all who choose to be involved in creating common ground for the common good culminating in a massive collection of stories documenting the immigrant experience by those whom have lived, learned, worked and worshiped here.
